About the Magnolia Run

The Magnolia Run is EFGA's longest running fundraiser, supporting those living with epilepsy in the state of Gerogia for 35 years! We cannot express our gratitude enough to the entire epilepsy community! Thank you for the friends and family of loved ones living with epilepsy who continuously support this event! The 2017 Magnolia Run was RECORD BREAKING, thanks to your support! We were able to raise well over $177,000, had an amazing 88 teams, and over 1600 participants!

The Magnolia Run is held on a fairly flat course around Perimeter Mall and the surrounding streets. The course is accommodating to runners and walkers of all ages, speeds and athletic abilities. Dogs and strollers are welcome, but are asked to keep to the right if moving at a slower speed. Please note, the 5k and 1 Mile will begin simultaneously at 8:00AM.

Awards will begin around 9:00am and will only be given to the following finishers: Male/Female Overall, Male/Female Masters Overall, and the 1st place finisher for Male/Female in their respective age groups. Awards will also be given to the top 5 fundraising teams.

  • We will try to accomodate those that register after August 1st, but cannot guarantee availability or size, please

You will never walk alone in the Magnolia Run! However, it’s more fun to do it as a team. Forming a team can strengthen family relationships, bring neighbors together and create a sense of camaraderie with your community. Creating a team also allows you to honor or memorialize someone you know or loved in a unique way. EFGA offers special recognition to teams the day of the race and prizes for the top 5 fundraising teams! Teams also encourage creativity, as many choose to create unique "team" shirts on their own to send a special message and enhance their team identity. The day of the Magnolia Run is a rainbow of colors and filled with team spirit. It is truly a unique and empowering experience!

Best of all, teams help to raise dramatically more funds to support the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia in its’ mission to create a greater quality of life for the more than 150,000 Georgians living with a seizure disorder. Put together your team today and get ready for an experience of a lifetime!

TEAM SIGNS -- All teams will have the opportunity to create their own signage the morning of the Magnolia Run. We will be providing posters and markers for anyone who would like to make their very own team signs! These materials will be available in the TEAM AREA. EFGA will provide special signs for the Top 5 Fundraising teams! The Top 5 Fundraising signs will be made from the results tallied as of Monday, August 13th, due to publishing needs.
